Borosilicate Glass

Borosilicate glass is a technical glass known for low thermal expansion, high thermal shock resistance, good chemical durability, and clear optical appearance. Compared with standard soda-lime glass, it performs better under rapid temperature change and is widely used for sight glass, level gauge glass, oven windows, laboratory glass, industrial windows, optical substrates, and fire-rated building glass.

Borosilicate 3.3

Borosilicate 3.3 is suitable for industrial equipment where glass must withstand heat, pressure change, chemical exposure, or repeated thermal cycling.

Borosilicate 4.0

Borosilicate 4.0 is used in architectural fire-rated glazing where transparency, heat resistance, and fire integrity are required. It can be supplied for fire-rated doors, windows, partitions, corridor glazing, staircase glazing, curtain wall areas, and smoke barrier systems.

Compared with ordinary soda-lime glass, borosilicate fire-rated glass has lower thermal expansion, better resistance to rapid temperature change, high transparency, and a lower risk of spontaneous breakage. Final fire rating should be confirmed according to the required standard, glass thickness, frame system, and project certification.
