Drawn from high-purity fused silica, our quartz glass tubes carry properties ordinary glass can't reach: higher hardness, transmittance up to 92%, and steady performance under heat. They come transparent or opaque milky white, in single, twin, spiral, and thick-wall forms, in lengths up to 4 m. You'll find them in semiconductor CVD lines, lamp envelopes, and high-temperature lab work.Standard circular-section tubing in clear or colored glass, the most common profile for laboratory, lighting, and process applications.

Our standard glass tubes cover the broad middle of the market in soda-lime, borosilicate, or quartz, with outside diameters from 5 to 550 mm and lengths from 10 to 2500 mm. They resist most acids and alkalis and hold up under sustained heat. Polished edges and optional color finishing make them as suited to instrument builds as to lab and process plumbing.

Made from borosilicate with an inserted cavity accurate to ±0.005 mm, our micro capillary tubes are built for the optical communication industry. They come in round, square, and D-type profiles and in single, dual, and multi-mode cavities. Laser-cut ends leave no incision cracks, and the smooth bore avoids empty-gel problems, so they package collimators, pigtails, and DWDM ports cleanly.

This is neutral borosilicate stock with a mean linear thermal expansion of 4.9 × 10⁻⁶ K⁻¹, rated USP Type I and ISO 719 HGB1 for hydrolytic resistance. It offers the chemical stability and thermal-shock resistance that primary medical packaging requires. Available clear or amber, it's the raw tubing pharmaceutical packagers form into vials, ampoules, and cartridges.

GLASS ROD​

GLASS ROD

Solid borosilicate and quartz rod, polished on surface and edge, covers both laboratory stirring rods and the rod stock used to build sight glass. It's corrosion resistant against most acids and alkalis and works at 1200 °C for long stretches. Diameter and length are made to your requirement.

For optical-fiber and analytical capillaries, we hold the inner diameter to ±0.002 mm, with bores starting at 0.005 mm. On the pharmaceutical side, our neutral borosilicate stock meets USP Type I and ISO 719 HGB1, with a transformation temperature of 515 °C and a density of 2.32 g/cm³. Quartz tubing carries a Mohs hardness of 5.5–6.5, a compressive strength near 1150 MPa, and transmittance up to 92%.

Catalog sizes rarely match a sensor housing, a fiber collimator, or a vial-forming line exactly, so we cut, bore, and shape tubing to your specification instead of forcing a standard part to fit. Send us a drawing or a sample, and we’ll match the bore, wall, length, end finish, and color. Multi-bore, heavy-wall, square, and D-type geometries are routine, and so are sterilization-ready materials for medical and analytical work.

How We Make Them

Every tube follows the same controlled path, scaled from a single prototype to a production run:

  1. Material selection. We choose soda-lime, borosilicate, quartz, based on the chemical, thermal, and purity demands of your application.
  2. Tube drawing. The glass is drawn to the target outside diameter and wall, with the bore set during forming.
  3. Precision boring and sizing. For precision and capillary work, the bore is brought to tolerance — down to 0.005 mm, with ID held to ±0.002 mm.
  4. Cutting and end finishing. Laser cutting leaves clean, crack-free ends, and surfaces and edges are polished so the tube performs and seats correctly.
  5. Inspection. We measure outside diameter, wall thickness, length, and bore on every batch, and check material-specific properties such as hydrolytic resistance or transmittance before packing.
