Custom Glass Tubes & Rods Manufacturer

We are a precision fabricator of custom glass tubes and rods, supplying borosilicate, quartz/fused silica, and soda-lime stock cut, ground, and finished to your drawing.

Glass Tubes & Rods Capability

We are a precision fabricator of custom glass tubes and rods, supplying borosilicate, quartz/fused silica, and soda-lime stock cut, ground, and finished to your drawing. Whether you need standard-wall laboratory tubing, large-diameter process tubing, optical-grade rod for lens and light-pipe fabrication, or fine capillary stock, our cutting, grinding, polishing, and end-finishing lines turn raw tube and rod stock into a finished, inspected component.

Materials We Supply

Borosilicate Glass Tubes & Rods

Borosilicate 3.3 glass (the composition behind Pyrex, Duran, and Simax tubing) is built around a low coefficient of thermal expansion of roughly 3.3 × 10⁻⁶ K⁻¹, which gives it high resistance to thermal shock and stable dimensions under repeated heating and cooling. It meets ISO 3585 and ASTM E438 Type I, Class A, and carries ISO 720 Class 1 hydrolytic resistance, making it the standard choice for laboratory glassware, pharmaceutical processing, sight glass, and high-temperature lighting components.

Quartz & Fused Silica Tubes and Rods

Quartz and fused silica tubing and rod offer an even lower thermal expansion than borosilicate, very high softening temperature, and broad UV-to-IR optical transmission. They are used where extreme thermal cycling, high process temperatures, or UV transmission rule out borosilicate — semiconductor furnace tubes, UV lamp envelopes, and optical light-pipe and rod-lens blanks.

Soda-Lime Glass Tubes & Rods

Soda-lime tube and rod stock is the cost-effective choice where chemical resistance and thermal shock performance are secondary to price — general glassware, decorative and lighting components, and rod stock for non-optical mechanical use.

Glass Tubes & Rods By Shape

Round Tube

Standard circular-section tubing in clear or colored glass, the most common profile for laboratory, lighting, and process applications.

Square & Rectangular Tube

Flat-sided profiles for instrument housings, display elements, and applications requiring a flat mounting face.

Hexagonal & Triangular Profile Tube

Multi-sided profiles used in decorative, lighting, and certain mechanical-fit applications where a round bore with a faceted outer surface is required.

Capillary Tubing

Fine-bore tubing for sensor, medical, and fluidic applications, held to tight bore and OD tolerances.

Solid Rod

Round, square, or custom-profile solid stock for stirring rods, light pipes, rod-lens blanks, mandrels, and structural/mechanical components.

Tapered & Stepped Rod

Rod stock ground to a taper or step profile for light-guide and specialty mechanical applications.

Custom Fabrication

Our fabrication of tube and rod stock includes precision cutting to length, OD and bore grinding, end finishing, drilling and slotting, surface finishing, and custom profile work.
  • Precision Cutting to Length – diamond or laser cutting to your specified length, square or angled.
  • OD and Bore Grinding – centerless and ID grinding to tighten outer-diameter and bore tolerances beyond as-drawn stock.
  • End Finishing – fire-polished, flat-ground, flat-polished, or chamfered ends, selected to the application.
  • Drilling and Slotting – side-wall holes, slots, and port features machined into tube stock.
  • Surface Finishing – polishing, frosting, or coating of the outer or bore surface.
  • Custom Profiles – cutting and grinding of square, hexagonal, and tapered profiles from round stock.
